Water damage is probably the most unknown environmental threat for a computer room. Water in a server room can come from multiple sources:


- defect air conditioning systems


- leakage from pipes running through the computer room


- leakage in rooms next or above the computer room


- leakage from the roof


- flooding



Water is often not visible as most computer rooms are equipped with a raised floor. When early detected, catastrophic damage to the systems and data can be avoided. 



ServersCheck offers a low cost sensor for monitoring water leaks, wetness and flooding 24x7. This sensor can detect water or moisture present on floors, carpets and other surfaces. It will report a WET/DRY indication. 



The sensor can generate alerts via email and SNMP Traps. Requires the optional ServersCheck Monitoring Software/Appliance for SMS alerting.
 

 

ServersCheck Ethernet (IP) Based Water & Flooding Detection Sensors Package Overview

A PoE & SNMP Ethernet ServersCheck Sensor includes following:
1x external temperature and humidity sensor probe
1x 1m /3 ft RJ45 data cable from sensor to Sensor Gateway
1x Sensor Gateway

Not included but optional:
1x Power adapter (US,UK or EU style) for Sensor Gateway

1 year limited warranty

Operating temperature range: 0ºC to +75ºC (32ºF to +167ºF) in PoE mode

Sensor is managed through connected Sensor Gateway. Web based interface and SNMP embedded into Sensor Gateway.

Water Sensitive Cable: 6meter - 20ft cable to detect water on floors. Cable has to be put on the floor (under raised floor)

Default power is through PoE. Customers not having PoE can use Power Adapters.
